1965 - Founded as Maxwell Laboratories
1983 - Initial public offering of Maxwell common stock
1984 - Merged with S-Cubed, Inc.
1990 - Acquired I-Bus industrial computing business
1991 - Acquired Sierra components business
1996 - Changed name to Maxwell Technologies, Inc.
1998 - Acquired Physics International government contracting business
1998 - Acquired Tri-Map computing business in UK
1999 - Acquired Space Electronics microelectronics business
2001 - Divested original government contracting business to focus on commercial products
2002 - Acquired Montena Components SA, located in Rossens, Switzerland
2003 - Montena Components SA becomes Maxwell Technologies SA and celebrates its 100th anniversary
