Challenging Limits: Maxwell Munich Takes On B2Run
September 25, 2017 | Maxwell Technologies
Employees donned running shoes and Maxwell Technologies t-shirts to participate in Business to Run (B2Run), an annual 6.4 kilometer (4 mile) run held in 17 locations across Germany. The largest run is in Munich with 30,000 participants from companies such as BMW and Siemens. A six-strong team of Maxwell Technologies employees based in Munich rose to the challenge.
"The race reminded me how important team spirit really is,” said Martina Niksic, administrative and logistics assistant. She added that succeeding in business and in a race share some things in common. "Stay focused on the goal, surround yourself with a positive team of people, and just go. A good team will always move you forward.”
The event started in Olympia Park and runners celebrated at the finish line in Olympiastadion München. The park and stadium were built for the Summer Olympic Games held in Germany in 1972.
"Reaching the goal and celebrating the experience together as a team was the best part about it,” says Alpbora Oruc, senior sales applications engineer. "I enjoyed representing Maxwell Technologies among energy, automotive and technology companies. The companies that participated are making significant changes in our world’s technology, and Maxwell is unique among them in that we lead the way in ultracapacitor energy storage.”
