PHOTOS: The Utility Industry Under One Roof at DistribuTECH 2016
February 15, 2016 | Gerard Lopez, Director of High Voltage Marketing, Business Development and Strategic Planning
This year’s DistribuTECH was energizing to say the least, with several workshops and sessions that revealed the transformation of the North American energy market, including the technology trends in metering, communication, cyber security and professional services.
At this year’s show, we exhibited our ultracapacitor and high-voltage product offerings, and featured Maxwell’s beta prototype for the CONDIS® broadband power line carrier (B-PLC) system for transmitting broadband information over existing electrical networks. The B-PLC system is used on the distribution grid to achieve an inexpensive, reliable and robust way to collect data from smart meters and transport the data back to the utility network operations center.
DistribuTECH is an exciting place to feature our unique set of ultracapacitor and high-voltage product offerings, and the Maxwell team thoroughly enjoyed discussions with customers, utilities, OEMs and partners. I was impressed with the thousands of attendees, the diversity of countries represented, and quality of speakers.
If you didn’t get a chance to meet with us at DistribuTECH, don’t hesitate to reach out to us.
We look forward to serving you!
