51 Volt Module

Our new 51V module is based on our industry-leading 48V module platform and includes the benefits of Maxwell’s proprietary DuraBlue® Advanced Shock and Vibration Technology. This new module features active balancing, Maxwell’s unique 2.85V cell technology, heat sinks on the top and bottom of the module, and an integrated fan for extreme duty cycle cases.

The module also features safety enhancements, including a redundant over-voltage alarm, while maintaining existing product life characteristics. The module incorporates an advanced capacitor management system (CMS) for balancing and improved reliability.

The DuraBlue® Advantage



Maxwell’s DuraBlue® Advanced Shock and Vibration Technology combines Maxwell’s unique dry electrode formation and manufacturing process with a patent-pending cell structure design. Our proprietary electrode gives customers a significant increase in vibration immunity of as much as 300 percent and in shock immunity of as much as 400 percent versus most comparable competitive offerings. The 51V module features DuraBlue technology and exceeds the industry’s most demanding shock and vibration requirements for transportation, making the module ideal for rugged applications such as hybrid buses.
