In the transportation segment, ultracapacitors play a very important role when an application requires a quick charge and recharge. Where high power density, being used for regenerative breaking as well as stop and go applications is key. Breaking and accelerating consume high amounts of fuel and when ultracapacitors are utilized it can greatly improve fuel efficiency under stop-and-go urbran driving conditions and successfully reduce overall fuel consumption in the cars, buses and like.

Only ultracapacitors can capture and store large amounts of electrical energy (generated by braking) and release it quickly for reacceleration.
